Alice Gardiner Beats Emetophobia
“I contacted Paul in September this year after I had researched why I was so scared of being sick.
I found out it was called Emetophobia and that there was something I could do about it!
I had had a course of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through the NHS the year before that had helped my panic attacks relating to my sickness phobia, but I was still struggling with being around any illnesses, eating normally, anxiety and having confidence in myself.
Going to see Paul each week for 10 weeks has totally changed my life.
Not only was it funny, heart warming and sometimes emotional, my outlook on everything has changed.
Not just ‘curing’ my Emetophobia (it never really existed) but helping me to feel empowered and like I am in control of my life.
I learnt more about myself than I could have imagined and working through the Thrive book, though hard at times, was such an amazing journey.
I now believe that I can do anything I want to in life having unlocked all the potential I had underneath my anxiety, Emetophobia and low self-esteem.
I am now setting up my own dog walking business, have a better relationship with everyone in my life – most importantly myself – and everyday feels like a joy.
Thanks Paul, you’re fu**ing ace!!”
